A FEW WORDS ABOUT OUR UPCOMING AGM
Good morning, everyone,
Let’s start with a few words about our upcoming BVPA Annual General Meeting (AGM) on February 27, 2023.
As BVPA is a registered not for profit entity under the Alberta Societies Act, we must strictly adhere to all AGM requirements and processes required by the Societies Act.
Therefore, on January 16, 2023, you received formal notification of our AGM to be held on February 27 from 7:00-8:30 on Room 212 at Elevation Place, 700 Railway Avenue, Canmore, AB.
The purpose of the AGM is to formally review and accept our 2022 activities and finances and to formally review and approve our plans and budget for 2023.
More specifically, at our AGM, we will present -
accomplishments for 2022
2022 financial statements
plans for 2023 outdoor and indoor play
proposed 2023 budget to support those plans
proposed slate of directors for our board.
This year we are also introducing a number of Bylaw changes for membership approval. Our Governance Committee has been very thorough in updating and clarifying our governing bylaws.
In accordance with the Alberta Societies Act, on February 6, 2023, you will receive via email the complete AGM package for your review prior to the AGM. The complete package will also be posted on our website on February 6, 2023.
Also on February 6, the sign up for the AGM will be made available.
So, check your calendars and pencil in February 27, 2023 to attend the best AGM in town!
