Requirements: Fitness: Pickleball is a mobile sport. You must feel comfortable moving around one side of a pickleball court. (It is much smaller than a tennis court.)
Gear: Shoes: You must wear comfortable clothing and some type of non marking court shoe.
We advise against typical running shoes. So tennis, badminton or pickleball shoes are preferred.

Paddle: You can bring your own, or we can loan you a paddle. You can try out a variety of them we will have there.
At the end of a night we will go over paddle selection and make recommendations to those that are interested.

Our Beginning Pickleball Clinic is Taught by Club Founder and President Patrick Batty
Patrick is a Nationally Certified Level 1 Coach.

In this comprehensive introduction, we teach in a play / teach / play method.
The agenda and format is the approved Beginner Training of Pickleball Canada and the Tennis Professionals Organization of Canada.

We progressively teach and play all aspects of pickleball.
You will learn:
Safe play and court etiquette
Holding the Paddle
Forehands, and Backhands
Serving and Return of Serve
Groundstrokes and Volleys
Rules (taught gradually throughout the session.)
Scoring
3rd and 4th Shots
What is Dinking?
Player positioning and movement.
Target zones to aim for at appropriate times.

At the end of this fun, progressive session, you will have set yourself up to be able to come out to our Beginner Sessions and gradually move up the ranks as far as your desire and effort takes you.
