Junior Program

Our Junior Program offers a fun and supportive introduction to the game of pickleball for kids ages 8–17. Whether they’re brand new to the sport or just getting started, this program is designed to help young players build confidence, develop fundamental skills, and most importantly—have fun. Through engaging drills and guided game play, participants will learn the basic essentials of pickleball, including hand-eye coordination, footwork, and movement specific to the sport. With a mix of 1-day and multi-week clinics—and more offerings to come—it’s the perfect way for juniors to get active, make new friends, and start their pickleball journey.


New for 2026! Youth ages 12-17 are able to join the Invermere Pickleball Club at a reduced Junior Club Membership season rate. This gives youth members access to:

  • All eligible club programming and sessions
  • Spring into Pickleball 3-week clinic at no extra cost
  • Monthly junior skills & drills sessions at no extra cost

Junior Club Membership (ages 12-17): $40 (includes Pickleball BC and Pickleball Canada membership

IPBC's season runs from April to October, however your fees for PCO and PBC provide you with membership to them on an annual basis.

Additionally, all club membership fees contribute to:

  • Court maintenance and equipment
  • Curling rink fees
  • Additional structures such as shade umbrellas, paddle boxes, storage organizers
  • Fund for future court costs
  • Voting rights toward electing board members and voting on decisions that should be made by the membership at the IPBC Annual General Meeting
  • Insurance against injury while attending IPBC, PBC, and PCO-sanctioned events
  • Early access to registration for IPBC tournaments
  • Newsletters from IPBC, PBC, and PCO
  • Membership to PBC supports the growth of pickleball in British Columbia
  • Membership to PCO supports the development of coaching, officiating, skills development, and more across Canada


If your child is ages 8-11 or if a season membership is not right for you at this time, drop-in fees for junior programming is available.


2026 Junior Programming

Spring Into Pickleball Program (6 sessions total)

Introduce kids to the fun of pickleball through play, movement, and approachable skill building! Over six progressive sessions, participants will have the opportunity to practice and build on their skills while developing confidence on the court. The program focuses on foundational pickleball skills, rules of the game, and encouraging both individual and cooperative play in a fun and supportive environment.

Monthly Junior Skills & Drills

Spark interest and enjoyment in pickleball through play, movement, and approachable skills, with the primary goal of making kids want to learn and play more! We’ll build excitement while developing foundational pickleball skills, basic rules understanding, and confidence in individual and cooperative play. Our monthly drop-in sessions offer flexibility for families to pick and choose which sessions work for their schedules.
