Pynelogs Pickleball Courts Project
The District of Invermere (DOI) and Invermere Pickleball Club (IPBC) are working together to develop eight outdoor tournament-level pickleball courts (including two wheel-chair accessible courts) located near the Pynelogs Rotary Ball Park, between the baseball diamond and railway tracks in Invermere, British Columbia. The site is located on an open, partly paved, partly gravel parking lot. This area is zoned for recreational use and currently contains a baseball diamond, three tennis courts, washrooms, storage building, and an events space (CPR Lodge). This space is also a 6-minute walk to Kinsmen Beach which allows for easy connectivity of a multitude of outdoor recreational activities.
The land allocation was officially approved by the District of Invermere Town Council on September 9, 2025. This will be a multi-year project with groundbreaking expected in 2026. Once complete, this development will establish Invermere as the pickleball hub of the Columbia Valley, supporting recreation, tourism, and inclusive community recreation.
Stay tuned for more information to come.
If you would like to support the project, we are seeking donations and/or in-kind contributions (such as construction services and/or materials, fencing components, electrical services, landscaping, court accessories and sports equipment). Please reach out to us by email here.
