Western Canadian Regional Pickleball Championship

Friday July 23, through July 25, 2021
The inaugural Western Canadian Regional Pickleball Championship will provide Open as well as Skill (and Age) based competition and be played indoors on 24 courts. This is a Pickleball Canada sanctioned tournament that will use IFP rules.
Tournament Information:
- This three-year-old facility is air-conditioned and has LED lighting throughout. There is lots of room for vendors, spectators and participants. And, no worries about the weather disrupting play!
- Residents of the provinces of Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, British Columbia or the Yukon or Northwest Territories are eligible for early registration in this Regional Tournament. Qualified referees from other locations who are willing to referee will also be eligible for early registration. Early registration opens on April 5, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. CST.
- Players from all other locations are asked to wait until April 19 at 6:00 p.m. CST to register.
- Registration will close on July 9, 2021 or when the limit of 200 players for each day is reached.
- Players may enter a maximum of 3 events and may only enter one doubles, one singles and one mixed doubles.
- Registration fees - $40 plus $15 referee surcharge plus $20 for each event entered
- Enter as a team or look under 'Players Needing Partners' to find a partner
- The International Federation of Pickleball rules will apply.
- The tournament ball will be the Onix Fuse, indoor ball, yellow
- Referees will be compensated $5 per match; Certified Referees referees $7 per match. We encourage participants to take referee training in order to offset their entry fees and keep the tournament running smoothly.
Registration Information:
- Registration and event fees are to be paid when you register, however, if you are placed on a waitlist at time of registration, do not pay the registration fee or waitlist event fee until such time as you are moved into the event.
- Players registered in events, will not receive a confirmation email until they have paid, signed the waiver, and have a paid registered partner.
- Paid players with paid registered partners will take priority. Once an event is filled and a waitlist is established, players without partners and/or not paid will be moved to the waitlist. They will be notified.
- If the event doesn’t fill and you registered without a partner and do not have a paid registered partner by (May 19, 2021), or haven’t paid the fees for events you were successful in entering, you will be moved to the waitlist.
- If on the waitlist and a spot comes available in the event, priority will be given in the order both players were registered as well as players with partners
