Pickleball Equipment Guide: Paddles, Balls, and Footwear
Equipment:
- Paddle: It's important to use a paddle that is approved by USA Pickleball, especially if you plan to participate in tournaments. You can check the official list of approved paddles here: https://equipment.usapickleball.org/paddle-list/. Paddles can be purchased at Walmart, Canadian Tire, Sussex Sports Shop, any larger sports retail chain, or online.
- Ball: Pickleballs come in different types for indoor and outdoor play. For outdoor play, we use the Franklin X40 and for indoor play, we prefer the Franklin X26 both can be purchased at Walmart, Canadian Tire, or Amazon. .
- Footwear: Wear comfortable court shoes that provide good support and have non-marking soles.
