Vice President
- Jayann Majewski
Hi, my name is Jayann Majewski. I initially joined a “learn to play pickleball" clinic at Bourkevale community centre in the Spring of 2021. I was instantly hooked and have played 2-3X/week(or more) ever since. I really appreciate and enjoy the social aspect of the game, and l've made many friends along the way while improving my PB skills at the same time.
I would like to become more involved in the WWPB club by running for the VP position. l am a retired Dental Hygienist. My husband and I owned a dental practice for 30 years where I was his dental hygienist, but I also did the office bookkeeping, and was involved in office personnel management.
We recently sold our business so now I have time to learn the ropes of how WWPB is run, and to offer my help in keeping the club fun and competitive.
I have volunteered at various events, and been on many committees throughout the different stages of my life.
I was on my high school’s social and sports student councils, and was president of my HS Grad (and involved in all three of my daughter's Grad committees). I was also a volunteer leader with Girl Guides of Canada for many years.
My main goal would be to help balance skill development and the social aspect of Pickleball.
Thanks
Jayann
Treasurer
- Sharon Lucovic
Hi, my name is Sharon Lucovic. I learned how to play pickleball 3 years ago and instantly became passionate about the sport.
I recently retired from a 40 year career in Information Technology. As a software developer I was instrumental in the development multiple software systems which interfaced with Microsoft Dynamics accounting software. During my career I also became a specialist in Microsoft Excel, which I used almost daily. I am detail oriented and have good analytical skills. This experience will allow me to make a smooth transition into the treasurer position.
In the past I have held many positions with the board at Roblin Park Community Club and more recently was a treasurer for the Ladies Curling League at Deer Lodge Curling Club.
My goal for the club would be to foster an environment which allows members at all levels play pickleball and socialize with other members.

- Doug Peters
My name is Doug Peters, and I'm interested in taking on a role of Director at Large with Winnipeg West Pickleball Club.
My wife (Susan Ralph) and I joined the club in 2021. We had never played pickleball before then, but the wonderful instruction and great people we met at the Pickleball 101 training had us hooked on the sport and on the club. We've been dedicated club members ever since.
I retired from a career in aviation in spring of 2020. I was part of the leadership team responsible for success and growth of the organization, and I was responsible for planning and execution of large projects. In retirement, I like to be busy, and I like to help out. I volunteer as a framing carpenter and volunteer leader two days per week, year round, at Habitat for Humanity. I am also the on-call handyman for Willow Place shelter. To round things out I play pickleball two or three times a week with the great group at WWPB.
My hope is that WWPB thrives as a club that supports all members; from novice to highest level, from casual to highly committed, and for those who wish to improve their game. I hope that WWPB continues to foster an ethic of sportsmanship and a fun and welcoming environment.
