"Stay out of the Doghouse" Tournament
Join us for a fun and unique pickleball tournament called Doghouse!

Date: Tuesday Aug 26 9:30am - 1:00pm
    (Rain date on Wednesday Aug 27 9:30am-1:00pm)

Location: Mono College Park courts.

Skill level: Novice 2.0 - Intermediate 3.0 

Cost: $25/player (Volunteers are free)

The Doghouse game encourages strong player communication, teamwork and standing your ground at the kitchen. It is also a personal challenge to try and stay out of the Doghouse! 

Cottage games can be played at the break and pre and post tournament to gain your team extra points. There will be 6 teams attired in different coloured outfits limited only by your imagination.

Food bank donations are requested and Spirit and Generosity Awards will be given!

Registration is limited to 36 players with 3 volunteers.

Format and Additional Details

Format- The tournament will consist of seven, 11 min games with a 30 min refreshment break after game 4 and a complimentary lunch provided after completion of the 7th game. 

DogHouse is a fun pickleball game with a twist. It is played with 6 players, 3 on each side. The game is played with conventional pickleball rules and line calls. The difference is that the 3rd player is positioned at the back centre, outside the court (or in the doghouse). Whenever a player misses a shot, he or she becomes the dog and changes positions with the current dog. Play continues as per conventional rules. 
One tricky part is the former dog now takes the place that the new dog just vacated. So, if that player was next to serve, then the former dog takes their spot and serves, keeping the same score. The dog is able to play any shot they feel they can get (except return of serve).
