Beginners Pickleball and Orientation
This session is 2.5 hours in length and involves the following:
1. Orientation
A tour of the AgRec facility showing the participants where to locate the AED, washrooms, equipment storage areas and how to properly set up the nets and other court side equipment. This is then followed by a review of handout material that includes the basic pickleball rules, AgRec safety, expectations, etiquette and general rules of play/conduct. Also included is information on how to join the required organizations, book play sessions, DUPR, player ratings and recommendations on the various sessions offered at AgRec.
2. Beginner Pickleball lessons
For approximately 2 hours the participants are shown all the basic aspects of playing Pickleball and given plenty of practice time, drills and coaching to learn and understand the various strokes ( ground, volley, dinks ), serves and service rules, scoring, game play, strategies and tips.
