Communications and Technology
This was formerly two separate groups. The technology expertise needed for the Club (maintaining website/email) is minimal on an ongoing basis but needs to be documented. Most of the technological needs of the group have to do with selecting and implementing new communications tools, such as TeamReach for better communication among players and improved operations, so these groups have been combined. Members with an interest in social media, communications strategies, in-person social events, or technological improvements may be interested in participating in this group.
- Newsletters - frequency and mode – make them more useful for members.
- Manage the TeamReach app for event information/communication and schedule changes.
- Maintain an archive of communications on the website for members.
- Develop policies on how to use Facebook and other social media.
- Arrange social events (holiday lunch and summer BBQ and any others? More frequent events?).
- Maintain documentation of our setup and training/onboarding/reference materials to support other Committees and their operations.
- PCNS administration (this is the host for our website manitoulinpickleball.ca – Pickleball Canada National System – which also handles collection of member fees, and has other tools such as event scheduling and newsletter distribution).
- Domain/email administration (no ongoing changes required, but details must be documented).
- Consider streaming video of events?
