Welcome to our Sarnia Lambton Pickleball Club (SLPC) registration page. Pickleball Ontario requires a unique email address for each member.

SLPC is affiliated with Pickleball Ontario and Pickleball Canada. To become a member of SLPC you are required to have a membership with both organizations. The membership year for Pickleball Canada and Pickleball Ontario runs from January 01 to December 31. Registering after October 01 your membership runs to December 31 of the following year. Registration at this time means you are a member from today until the end of 2024.

Fee Summary

  • $10.00 for Pickleball Canada (plus a small processing fee)
  • $10.00 for Pickleball Ontario
  • $50.00 for Sarnia Lambton Pickleball Club (plus a processing fee)

Total Payment is online through Pickleball Canada software by using your credit card. Cheques or e-transfer are not accepted.

Please note that Pickleball Canada and Pickleball Ontario registration fees are NON-REFUNDABLE. Club fee refunds will be on a case by case basis.

You can belong to 2 clubs and only need to pay Pickleball Ontario and Pickleball Canada fees once, but need to pay both club fees separately.

Additional Fees are required to play indoors and possible additional fees for outdoor play depending on court availability/cost structure with the city.

What Can We Promise

At this point we can state we finalized 4 indoor courts from 11 December until 09 March 2024. Availability is 6 days per week from 9am to 5pm. This comes to an end 09 March 2024. Discussion to start up again in November.

We are also working on an additional 4 indoor courts that we estimate may be available in April. If we are successful in obtaining availability will be 12 months per year, 7 days per week from 6 am to 10 pm. A lease agreement has been initiated but awaiting landlord approval. ON HOLD.

The prepay fee is being estimated at $550 for 72 free plays, but we have not come to final agreement.

We have set up on-line booking software. As an SLPC member you will have access to book indoor courts.

There are many options of play structures available for court booking.

As a “Just Starting Out” player we will have experienced players assisting you to learn the rules, scoring, and pickleball etiquette.

Outdoor courts for summer 2024 have been requested at Blackwell and are subject to availability and cost as determined by the city. To get more info email sarnialambtonpickleball@gmail.com

We welcome anyone that wants to register at this time but respect those that want to wait until more solid info is available. Note we are NOT capping registration numbers.

What My Fees Cover

  • Club Supplies such as membership ID, Balls, Nets, First Aid Equipment, etc
  • Equipment such as Squeegees, Leaf Blowers, Storage Box, Court White Boards, etc
  • Insurance Coverage for individual members and the club
  • Bank Charges
  • Software costs for court bookings
  • A portion of outdoor court rental for summer of 2024 depending on negotiations with the city.
  • Not for Profit Lawyers fees.
  • Supporting our clubs vision for Pickleball in Sarnia Lambton not only now but for years to come.

How to Sign Up

  • You must select Sarnia Lambton Pickleball Club from the drop down box or you will not be in our club membership list which is a requirement to play with our club.
  • If you are already a member of Pickleball Ontario/Pickleball Canada be sure to enter your membership number and use the “I am renewing my membership” option.
  • If you have never been a member of Pickleball Ontario/Pickleball Canada be sure to use the “I am a new member” option.
  • You will be required to accept that you have read and agreed to waivers, code of conduct, etc.
  • We have added a number of questions to assist the club in deciding programs to run, what days and what times of day are most popular and full year player or just summer or winter player. We also have a skill rating that either comes from tournaments or your self rating. This will assist in determine some of the time slots most suited to the level you prefer to play at.
  • Please opt in to receive emails as this will be our main source of communication with members.
  • Please print the Pickleball Canada Membership Card for use when identifying yourself are a member.
  • Check for Welcome Email. Might be in your SPAM mail. Follow instructions to access to Salix, our court booking software.

PLEASE check to see if you are already in the system before you register as a new member.  You may just need to RENEW.

What is the Membership Year?

The membership year for Pickleball Canada and Pickleball Ontario is from January 1 to December 31. If you register on September 1 or later in the year your membership runs to December 31 of the following year.

Please note that Pickleball Ontario and Pickleball Canada membership fees are NON-REFUNDABLE. Ensure that you are joining the correct Member Club and that you are aware of their membership fees and costs.


Pickleball Canada Registration

Our new registration system allows you to register at one time with your club, if you belong to one, your provincial or territorial sports organization (PTSO) and Pickleball Canada. If you belong to more than one club, you will only register with Pickleball Canada once! If you belong to more than one club and they are in different provinces/territories you will be required to join each of the PTSOs.

RELEASE OF LIABILITY, WAIVER OF CLAIMS, ASSUMPTION OF RISKS AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT(hereinafter referred to as the "Release Agreement")

This Release Agreement shall apply to all subsequent membership renewals.

BY SIGNING THIS DOCUMENT YOU WILL WAIVE OR GIVE UP CERTAIN LEGAL RIGHTS, INCLUDING THE RIGHT TO SUE OR CLAIM COMPENSATION FOLLOWING AN ACCIDENT

TO: PICKLEBALL CANADA ORGANIZATION, and its affiliated provinces and territories and its local associations and clubs, and their respective directors, officers, employees, instructors, agents, representatives, volunteers, independent contractors, subcontractors, sponsors, successors and assigns (hereinafter collectively referred to as the "Releasees").

ASSUMPTION OF RISKS

I am aware that participating in the sport of pickleball involves many risks, dangers and hazards including, but not limited to: collision with other persons or objects; being struck by a paddle; being hit by a ball; the risk of stroke, heart attack or other similar life threatening conditions caused by physical exertion; the risk of personal injury including, but not limited to, strains, sprains, fractures, brain injury, spinal cord injury including paraplegia or quadriplegia, or death; loss of balance or control; slips, trips and falls; negligent first aid; failure to act safely or within one’s own ability; negligence of other persons; and, NEGLIGENCE ON THE PART OF THE RELEASEES. I UNDERSTAND THAT NEGLIGENCE INCLUDES FAILURE ON THE PART OF THE RELEASEES TO TAKE REASONABLE STEPS TO SAFEGUARD OR PROTECT ME FROM THE RISKS, DANGERS AND HAZARDS REFERRED TO ABOVE. I FREELY ACCEPT AND FULLY ASSUME ALL SUCH RISKS, DANGERS AND HAZARDS AND THE POSSIBILITY OF PERSONAL INJURY, DEATH, OR PROPERTY DAMAGE OR LOSS RESULTING THEREFROM.

RELEASE OF LIABILITY, WAIVER OF CLAIMS AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT

In consideration of the Releasees accepting my application for membership in the Pickleball Canada Organization and, as applicable, my affiliated province or territory and local association or club, and permitting my use of the facilities and premises provided by the Releasees (hereinafter "the premises"), I hereby agree as follows:

1. TO WAIVE ANY AND ALL CLAIMS that I have or may in the future have against THE RELEASEES, and TO RELEASE THE RELEASEES from any and all liability for any loss, damage, expense or injury including death that I may suffer, or that my next of kin may suffer, as a result of my participation in the sport of pickleball including, but not limited to, my use of the premises DUE TO ANY CAUSE WHATSOEVER, INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE, BREACH OF CONTRACT, OR BREACH OF ANY STATUTORY OR OTHER DUTY OF CARE, INCLUDING ANY DUTY OF CARE OWED UNDER ANY PROVINCIAL OCCUPIERS’ LIABILITY LEGISLATION ON THE PART OF THE RELEASEES. I UNDERSTAND THAT NEGLIGENCE INCLUDES THE FAILURE ON PART OF THE RELEASEES TO TAKE REASONABLE STEPS TO SAFEGUARD OR PROTECT ME FROM THE RISKS, DANGERS AND HAZARDS REFERRED TO ABOVE.

2. TO HOLD HARMLESS AND INDEMNIFY THE RELEASEES from any and all liability for any damage to property of or personal injury to any third party, resulting from my use of or presence on the premises;

3. This Release Agreement shall be effective and binding upon my heirs, next of kin, executors, administrators, assigns and representatives, in the event of my death or incapacity;

4. This Release Agreement and any rights, duties and obligations as between the parties to this Release Agreement shall be governed by and interpreted solely in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and no other jurisdiction; and

5. Any litigation involving the parties to this Release Agreement shall be brought solely within the Province of Ontario, and shall be within the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of the Province of Ontario.

In entering into this Release Agreement I am not relying upon any oral or written representations or statements made by the Releasees with respect to the safety of pickleball other than what is set forth in this Agreement.

I HAVE READ AND UNDERSTAND THIS RELEASE AGREEMENT AND I AM AWARE THAT BY SIGNING THIS AGREEMENT I AM WAIVING CERTAIN LEGAL RIGHTS WHICH I OR MY HEIRS, NEXT OF KIN, EXECUTORS, ADMINISTRATORS, ASSIGNS AND REPRESENTATIVES MAY HAVE AGAINST THE RELEASEES.

Assumption of risks and indemnity agreement for Pickleball Ontario

(hereinafter referred to as the “Release Agreement”)

By agreeing to this document, you will waive or give up certain legal rights, including the right to sue or claim compensation following transmission of a communicable disease or an accident

TO: PICKLEBALL ONTARIO associations, clubs and their respective directors, officers, employees, instructors, agents, representatives, volunteers, independent contractors, subcontractors, sponsors, successors and assigns (hereinafter collectively referred to as the “Releasees”).

ASSUMPTION OF RISKS

I understand that negligence includes failure on the part of the releasees to take reasonable steps to safeguard or protect me from the risks, dangers and hazards referred to above. I freely accept and fully assume all such risks, dangers and hazards and the possibility of personal injury, death, or property damage or loss resulting therefrom.

  2. To hold harmless and indemnify the releasees from any and all liability for any damage to property of or personal injury to any third party, resulting from my use of or presence on the premises.
  3. This Release Agreement shall be effective and binding upon my heirs, next of kin, executors, administrators, assigns and representatives, in the event of my death or incapacity;
  4. This Release Agreement and any rights, duties and obligations as between the parties to this Release Agreement shall be governed by and interpreted solely in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario.
