2026 AGM - Board Nominations Now Being Requested
The Abbotsford Pickleball Association (APA) Annual General Meeting will be held on February 28, 2026, from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM in the Ag-Rec Centre - Google Map Link Bldg. 1, 32470 Haida Dr, Abbotsford.
The full agenda will be emailed before February 14 to all eligible members.
We are now calling for Nominations for APA Board Members.
To be eligible to run as a board Director, as per the APA Bylaws and the BC Societies Act, you must:
- have been an APA member in good standing for the previous 12 months (since February 28, 2025);
- be 18 years or older (as of February 28, 2026);
- not be a court-declared incapable person;
- not have an undischarged bankruptcy; and
- not have any unpardoned convictions for fraud or related corporate offences in the past 5 years;
The key duties of a Board Member are to:
- act honestly and in good faith with a view to the best interests of the Society,
- exercise the care, diligence and skill that a reasonably prudent individual would exercise in comparable circumstances,
- act in accordance with the Bylaws of the Society and the Societies Act and the regulations, and subject to paragraphs 1. and 2. above.
A written nomination letter with a short resume covering your attributes, reasons for running and intended contributions must be received before midnight on Saturday February 7, 2026.

A Special Resolution will be brought forward to allow a vote to amend quorum from 10% to 5%:
5.05 A quorum at a General Meeting of the APA will be 10% 5% of the eligible voting Membership or ten (10) members, whichever is greater, subject to section 5.08 of these Bylaws.
