Welcome to Leaside Pickleball Club
Leaside Pickleball Club was established in 2022 to provide pickleballers residing in and around the Leaside area of Toronto, with an opportunity to enjoy this popular sport.
Our target audience is age 55+ players who are available during weekday daytime hours. We play for fun, socialization, and exercise.
A not-for-profit club, we rent two courts in the renovated gymnasium of Leaside United Church. The courts are approximately three feet shorter in length at each end versus a standard pickleball court.
It's important to note that unlike many other clubs we don't do drop-ins, but instead players register for an entire season - generally 10-14 weeks in length and play at the same time/day each week.
We play on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings (10 AM to 12 noon) and Wednesday afternoons (1-3 PM). Players typically register for one or more sessions and play at the same time each week. While absences are permitted, we ask players to attend at least 50% of the sessions for which they are registered.
Cost is approximately $10 for each two-hour session paid in advance at the start of each season - so generally $100-$140 for each season (for one day per week of play).
Leaside Pickleball Club is a volunteer run organization, and is led by board members Tanya Pimenoff, Sandy Shim, Annette Sonneveld, Jeff van Duynhoven, Maddie Costa, Sandra Creighton, and Danny Saliani.
Club Membership
We are currently not adding new members as we are 100% full, but we are accepting new registrations for our waitlist depending on individual skill level – based upon our self-assessment rating.
Kindly complete the Leaside Pickleball Club self-assessment rating ( click here ) and we will be in touch to confirm if you are a fit for our club. If so, your name will be added to our waitlist, and we will contact you if/when openings are available.
Note: Memberships are not transferable and not refundable.
