Pickleball Nova Scotia Code of Conduct

RJPC endorses the provincial code of conduct which follows:

While the mission of Pickleball Nova Scotia is to promote the growth and development of pickleball, the long term success of this sport requires that our players embrace the values of good sportsmanship. Therefore, in order to achieve our mission it is essential that Pickleball Nova Scotia members and volunteers display respect and self-control, model good behaviour, and ultimately lead by example.

Every person involved in the sport of pickleball here in the Province of Nova Scotia (participant, official, volunteer, spectator or representative of Pickleball Nova Scotia) pledges as follows:

  1. I will not engage in unsportsmanlike conduct or encourage others to do so.
  2. I will not engage in behavior that endangers the health or safety of others.
  3. I will not engage in the use of profanity.
  4. I will treat others with respect.
  5. I will exhibit fairness and honesty in my dealings with others.
  6. I will not flaunt my position.
  7. I will not use Pickleball Nova Scotia records or materials for personal gain.
  8. I will observe the Golden Rule of doing unto others as I would have them do unto me.

The above Code applies in all situations that relate directly or indirectly to pickleball play.

Guest Policy.pdf

As per the above policy, please have guests who aren't members of Pickleball Canada complete the waiver below prior to play with RJPC; it only needs to be completed once per calendar year. Either autofill (if your device allows) or print, complete and scan. Send completed forms to riverjohnpickleball@gmail.com

Note: This file can also be found under Files/File Name at the top of our River John Pickleball Facebook page.

Payment for the drop-in fee for indoor play is to be paid in cash in the tin provided, just like RJPC members do - this money goes directly to the firehall. For play at the outdoor courts, the member is responsible for e-transferring the guest fee on behalf of their guest(s) to rjpcfees@gmail.com and must include a message with the purpose of the transfer – e.g. paying for guest and the name of the guest(s).
