Our instructor will be Sean McCartan, a proud member of Team Selkirk. Selkirk demo paddles will be provided and a variety of new paddles will be on hand for sale if you are interested. This is an excellent opportunity to try out a new paddle!
Sean McCartan is well known and highly regarded throughout the pickleball world in Alberta
and we are lucky
that Sean has made time in his busy schedule to come to Canmore and support our sport in our mountain community.
A brief bio of Sean follows -
Sean, an Edmonton Fire and Rescue Services firefighter, started playing Pickleball casually at his fire hall and was instantly hooked. He quickly got into tournament play and found that he loved competing at a high level as well as teaching/coaching at all levels.?
He and Leslie Srogen are partners in Inapickle which specializes in supporting the growth of Pickleball through their excellent player development clinics. Both Sean and Leslie are proud members of Team Selkirk! ?
Sean is affiliated with Pickleball Coaching International and enjoys teaching and coaching players of all levels...Novice players, Intermediate players and Advanced players will all enjoy and benefit from Sean’s player development clinics. He consistently helps participants become more effective players with a wider repertoire of shots and game strategies.
Sean has brought home medals from across Western Canada and the U.S. including multi medals at Canadian Nationals. In fact, he and Leslie Srogen won the gold medal in Mixed Doubles 4.5 50+ at the 2021 Canadian Nationals held in Red Deer, Alberta.
