MEMBERSHIP DUES: BIG ENERGY= BIG YEAR AHEAD!

Guess what? It’s membership renewal time—and we’ve got some exciting updates coming your way! Our club is growing fast, the momentum is real, and thanks to YOU, we’re stepping into our next year stronger than ever.

Your support has helped us make real noise in the community—and trust us, town officials are listening. The more we grow, the louder our message: we need more courts, and we need them now!

We know you’re here for the love of the game, the rallies, the laughs, and the good times on the court. But as you’ve seen, the town hasn’t quite caught up with the demand. That’s where YOU come in. Returning members are the heartbeat of this club, and your continued support is what drives real progress toward the new court system we’re all dreaming of.

This year, we’re giving you two exciting ways to renew: Active or Supporting. Pick the one that matches your play style!

Etiquette for Session Start Times and Self-Evaluat

Etiquette for Session Start Times and Self-Evaluation

Recently, several players—both members and non-members—have approached us with concerns regarding a few ongoing issues. We want to remind everyone that the Town’s pickleball programs are not run or controlled by the New Tec Pickleball Club. However, we have had multiple meetings with Town staff to seek solutions and communicate your feedback. We have developed a great rapport, and continue to advocate on your behalf.

1. Session Start-Time Etiquette
One recurring concern is the relaxed approach to session start times. As you all know, pickleball runs best when players begin together and when an even number of players are on the courts. The Town of New Tecumseth will be implementing updated session times, which many of you may have already seen posted.

The Town’s handout also includes a reminder to arrive within 15 minutes prior to your session start time. Please consider coming a bit early. Let’s start together, end together, and enjoy the game together.

2. Self-Evaluation: Knowing Your Level of Play
Another concern raised several times is the question: “What level am I?”

The Town has categorized all programs as recreational and social. Please review the Town’s descriptions and make a fair assessment of where your skills fit. Play within the appropriate category so everyone can enjoy a safe, fun, and balanced experience.

Who We Are

We are a diverse and inclusive sports group, formed in Oct. 2024, that believes every resident in New Tecumseth should have the opportunity to learn, and to play pickleball regardless of age or ability.

  1. We are the collective voice of the New Tecumseth Pickleball Club membership and we advocate on YOUR behalf for all things pickleball within our municipality.
  2. We continue to advocate for safe, well maintained indoor and outdoor pickleball facilities and equipment.
  3. We continue to advocate for “PICKLEBALL-ONLY” courts.
  4. We continue to advocate for pickleball lines on tennis and badminton court that get resurfaced so the number of shared-use places to play continues to grow.
  5. We provide pickleball input to the Town’s Recreation, Facilities and Culture Department to perpetuate the development and growth of the sport.
