Tournament Format

The tournament will be a round robin format and will include 4 skill levels: Green, Blue, Black and Double Black.
Teams are not gender-specific.

Start Times

Green and Double Black: 12 pm until 3pm

Blue and Black: 3 pm until 6 pm

Green level players will register as individuals and will have a new partner for each game. Blue, Black and Double Black players will register as teams of two. The tournament organizers reserve the right to move participants in order to ensure balanced groupings in each category.

The format of play for the Green level will be as follows:

- individual registration with a max of 10 participants

- games are played in doubles format

- games are first to 11 points

- divided into 2 pools of 5, each group of 5 will play a round robin (with one bye every round) for a total of 4 games guaranteed per person.

- the top 4 individuals (based on their total individual scores) will then play a final round robin to determine the winner.

- final 4 round robin will be a total of 3 more games, played first to 7 points. The individual with the most points after the 3 games will be the winner.

The format of play for the Blue, Black and Double Black levels will be as follows:

- register with a partner with a max of 8 teams per level

- games are first to 15 points

- divided into 2 pools of 4, each group of 4 will play a round robin for a total of 3 games guaranteed per team.

- the top 4 teams (based on the combined pool total team scores) will then play semi-finals and finals to determine the winner.

How to determine what level to register

Green Level

Choose the Green Level if you have limited experience playing pickleball or if you prefer a slower pace of play. You can keep a short rally going and you have a basic understanding of the rules.

Blue Level

Choose the Blue Level if you can hit forehand drives, serves, and returns with medium pace but you may lack some consistency and control. You understand the basic strategy and rules of pickleball and know the importance of getting to the NVZ line. You enjoy a faster paced game but also start the occasional dinking battle.

Black Level

Choose the Black Level if you can hit drives, serves, and returns with pace and consistency. You try to drop your third shots when appropriate and move quickly to the NVZ line when you have the opportunity. You are also comfortable hitting and defending fast paced overhead smashes.

Double Black Level

Choose the Double Black Level if you can generally hit both forehand and backhand drives, serves, and returns with pace, as well as dinks, drop shots, and volleys (including block volleys) of different speeds. You have consistency and control with most of your shots. You have a moderate number of unforced errors, and you understand how to attack your opponents’ weaknesses
