All Skills Recreational League -- Sundays from 12:30 - 2:30 pm (Starts August 2, Scheduled to end September 6 with rain dates September 13 and 20. Rain date times may vary slightly.)
Registrants will initially be put on a waiting list and will be offered a spot once one is available (this allows us to ensure all programs have enough registration before taking money from anyone -- since we do not run programs for profit it is important that we have enough participants to cover costs).
This non-instructional recreational league is suitable for players of all skill levels. All participants will be given a rotating schedule (in advance) that has them on court for 4 of the 6 weeks. This allows us to create different groups of players every week for variety and to help everyone meet more people.
Each session will have up to 6 players and play will be round robin for the two hours. As players will have a variety of skill sets we ask participants to be sporting and kind. If you are looking for intensely competitive play this is not the league for you.
Bring your paddle, plenty of water, and a small folding chair (if you want to sit between your games). Wear shoes with a good tread and we recommend the use of eye protection (sun glasses may be needed), a hat with a brim, and sunscreen. Outdoor balls will be provided (yellow Onix).
All sessions will take place outside at Larry O'Connell park (6691 Fourth Street in Halifax, behind the ball diamond). Street parking is available on site.
Participation is open to members, in good standing, of the Halifax Pickleball Club who are age 19 or older. New members can join while registering or add us as a club to their existing Pickleball NS account.
As the city does not provide refunds for rain dates we have allowed for 2 rescheduled sessions -- if additional dates are rained out we will not be able to provide refunds (unless the city should happen to change its policy).
Registration fees are non-refundable (should you need to cancel we can try to find someone to fill your spot, and would then provide a partial refund, but there is no guarantee of this).
