Players are required to self-rate when registering for the SCPC Ladder. Please read the following, and choose the one that best describes your current play:
3.00: (70%) Consistent serve, returns medium-paced balls reliably; makes basic strokes, lacks control in placing the ball; attempts lobs and dinks with limited success.
3.25: Not quite a 3.5 but more than a 3.0
3.50: (80%) Consistent control and placement of medium-paced shots; able to return fast-paced shots but with slightly less success; needs more shot variety; aggressive play at the kitchen; anticipates opponent's shots; learning the strategy of doubles play.
3.75+: Consistent forehand and backhand strokes (minimum 90%); Some use of spin; Some forced errors when serving; Can use dink and drop shots successfully (minimum 90%); Demonstrates 3rd shot strategies; Aggressive net play in doubles: Full understanding of the rules.
