Shediac Court Usage Rules

COURT USAGE RULES

To ensure compliance with Pickleball Canada and the Town of Shediac the following rules and guidance will be in effect March 6, 2024 and continue until replaced by an alternate.

Rules below apply to any facilities operated under the guidance of the Shediac Pickleball Club. This includes the outdoor courts located on Jubilee Court, the winter indoor courts (local school) and the arena location (operated in summer).

Failure to the comply with one or more of these rules will result in disciplinary action by the Shediac Pickleball Club Committee. This disciplinary action can range from a warning, suspension, or revocation of an individual’s Shediac Pickleball Club membership.

    All members:

    1 - MUST be a member of Pickleball Canada.

    2 - MUST be a member of the Shediac Pickleball Club. Children under 18 MUST be accompanied by an adult at all times.

    3 - MUST REGISTER to play each time in Playtime Scheduler prior to playing on the courts.

    4 - MUST respect the spirit and intent of the schedule to allow play for all. This includes consistently play at the level appropriate for your skill; if sessions are full, you only play once per day; during open play if courts are full, you must follow the open play process.

    5 - USE facilities for Pickleball only. Club and Venue equipment is not to be abused. Members must pick up after themselves and dispose of garbage properly; Members must not bring chairs, stools, glass, food, alcohol, or pets inside courts; Members must not stay inside courts (when courts are full) to impede play or create safety hazards.

    6 - ABIDE by the Code of Conduct

    7 - FOLLOW Pickleball Etiquette. When the courts are full, players must follow the Open Play process (See document named OpenPlayGuidlines) to provide fair access for everyone.
