Halifax Pickleball Club

Novice & All Skills Recreational Play & Lessons

Fall 2026 Programs

The below programs are designed for novice level players or those more comfortable playing a softer game. If you prefer a faster pace, higher skill, environment please visit our intermediate page. To assess your own skill level please use this Self Assessment Guideline

It is expected that players know the basics of pickleball. We recommend taking our Learn to Play (see the lessons page) before joining any of our novice leagues.

📆 FULL -- WAITING LIST ONLY Novice/All Skills round robin recreational (indoors): Monday evenings 7 to 9 pm, September 28 through December 14 Monday Evening Novice/Beginner

If you are looking for Novice Skill Development Lessons you can join our waiting list for future sessions.

NOTE: As we are a non-profit club all of our programs must be self-sustaining. When we open new programs registrants will initially be placed on a waiting list -- once we know there are enough players to support that program we will request payment to complete your registration. So being put on a waiting list does not mean there is no space for you (once a program is actually full we will update the website to say this so you know before registering).

Our indoor programs take place at Ummah Masjid and Community Centre (UMCC) 2510 St Matthias St. Our facility dress code requires loose fitting clothing that covers from shoulders to fully past the knees. And we ask players to avoid orange and neon/fluorescent clothing due to a player with a TBI that is impacted by certain colours.
