Our Purpose and Goals
From the LPA Bylaw:
The purpose of the LPA is to increase the availability of Pickleball facilities in Lakeshore and promote the sport of pickleball to people of all ages for fun, friendship, fitness, community health and athletic competition.
To reach this goal, LPA is working to:
- consult with Lakeshore to improve existing pickleball facilities and provide
more pickleball facilities across the Municipality, - partner with Lakeshore to develop and build a world class pickleball facility,
- encourage players in the development of pickleball skills and provide a welcoming atmosphere for all levels of pickleball players to build a strong active membership, including volunteers, all organized around a common
love of pickleball.
Transition from Outdoor to Indoor Play Atlas Tube
Hi LPA Members,
We just wanted to touch base as we transition from outdoor play to indoor play.
Unfortunately, LPA does not have any dedicated weekly court time at the indoor courts at Atlas Tube. We do, however, have some special events booked throughout the indoor season, including 17 - 2 hour sessions of play during the holidays and tournaments. You will receive email notices with details and registration information for these events.
In the meantime, please see below for information on how you can play indoors at Atlas Tube during the coming months.
We hope this information helps make the transition to indoor play a little easier. We look forward to seeing everyone on the courts!
Fall & Winter Indoor Play at Atlas Tube
There are two ways to play pickleball indoors at Atlas Tube Recreation Centre this fall and winter:
Drop-In Pickleball
You can join the scheduled drop-in pickleball sessions and pay at the front desk when you arrive. No advance booking is required.
See the drop-in schedule below.
Reserve a Court Through ActiveNet
Atlas Tube also offers court reservations through their ActiveNet booking system, pay at the front desk when you arrive.
Court reservations open every Tuesday at 6:00 PM for the following week.
If we are able to reserve any 2:30 court times we will send out invites to Lakeshore Pickleball Association members on Playtime Scheduler. Space is limited so members must use playtime scheduler to secure a spot.
Important: When you arrive at Atlas Tube, the front desk will ask you who reserved the court. This information will be included in the Notes section of the Playtime Scheduler invite, so please check the invite before heading to the courts.
So, if you’re looking to get some indoor pickleball this fall and winter, you have a couple of options!
