Sign Up Genius Information

Sign Up Genius, otherwise known as SUG, is an online platform we use for scheduling. All members will need a SUG account to sign up to play in sessions. The online platform is a web based tool and is also offered as a mobile app on iOS and Android devices.  SELECT HERE to access SUG.

Here are tips to help you use SUG effectively to sign up for play.

  1. Create your account making sure you use the same email you used for Pickleball Canada/Ontario. Once signed in, select your initials to access your profile settings. Make sure you have selected the right time zone.


Web-based SUG tips

  1. Once logged in, select SIGN-UPS from the left menu, then select the INVITED TO tab.
  2. Scroll down until you see SIGN-UPS I’VE BEEN INVITED TO.  You will see a list of sessions that you can sign up for.
  3. Select a session (usually a day) to sign-up and “SIGN UP” for the dates that you want to plan.  Select SAVE AND CONTINUE to sign up for multiple sessions all at once.  You will receive an email to confirm your SIGN-UPS.
  4. To view the sessions you have signed up for, select ITEMS I’VE SIGNED UP FOR.
  5. To cancel a session, select the x beside the session you can no longer attend. Please delete your name no later than 48 hours before the session. Notify the SUG administrator if you must cancel at the last minute.
  6. Select the CALENDAR tab to view sessions YOU’VE BEEN INVITED TO and sessions YOU HAVE SIGNED UP FOR.  
  7. If you are having trouble, ask another member to help you navigate the website.


SUG mobile app tips

  1. Once logged in, select SIGN-UPS tab from the bottom menu bar.  You should see two sections:  MY SIGN-UPS (INVITED TO) and below that ITEMS I’VE SIGNED UP FOR.
  2. Scroll horizontally through the sessions in MY SIGN-UPS to view the sessions you have been invited to.  Select one of the sessions (days) to sign-up for one or more slots for that particular day.
  3. To view ITEMS I’VE SIGNED UP FOR, scroll vertically through the list.  
  4. To cancel a session, select the session date from ITEMS I’VE SIGNED UP FOR. Then, select delete to remove your name from that session.  Please delete your name no later than 48 hours before the session. Notify the SUG administrator if you must cancel at the last minute.
  5. If you are having trouble, ask another member to help you navigate the application.


Multi-family members

Where possible, it is preferable that only ONE family member sign up. If both husband and wife sign up, then you will not see the other spouse’s sign ups when logging in. If this occurs, it would be easy to miss a scheduled time.
