Vacant Time Slot Usage

When playing spots are vacant for a particular session, and there is no wait list, a member may invite a player from another level to fill the slot using the following guidelines:

  1. A vacancy still exists within a week of the session date. For example, I am signing up a competitive guest to the Dec.10 rec session (which has vacant spots) no earlier than Dec. 3.
  2. A recreational player may invite a competitive player to a recreational session to allow for mixed play. The competitive player will adjust their level of play as required.
  3. A competitive player may invite a recreational player to a recreational session provided that player is adequately skilled to keep up with the level of play. Invitations may only be extended to players that fall into the 3.0 category on the checklist below. Ideally, recreational players who are actively working towards competitive readiness should receive invitations first.
  4. In both circumstances, the invited player should improve the overall flow of the session. For example, if there are only 7 players, consider inviting a guest member to round out play to 8. However, if there are already 4 players, adding a fifth player as a guest would NOT be recommended.
  5. You may not add an “invited member” to a wait listed spot.
