Blind River Pickleball Club is happy to announce its annual
tournament on June 27th, 9:30 start. They will be having a MLP style of
tournament and hope to use both our indoor and outdoor courts.
Weather dependent.
Tournament information:
- It will be a triple elimination format (if they get 16 teams) or double elimination if they get fewer teams. Team members will stay static with no substitutions.
- Teams will be made up of 2 women and 2 men.
- Games will be each gender doubles and 2 mixed doubles games each round.
- Basic MLP rules (rally scoring). Some other rules TBD.
- Each team will play a minimum of 5 games.
- There will end up being 4 pools where each winning team will receive medals.
- Light breakfast and lunch will be available.
- Cost will be $30/player (may be adjusted slightly depending on participants).
- Any DUPR level teams can play Note: Your partner must be in the same skill range.
Note: They are looking for teams from each club. Number of teams from each club is to be decided when they get some interest registered. Each team will have 4 players - 2 men and 2 women. In those 4 players you will have a gender doubles men team, gender doubles woman team and 2 mixed doubles teams so each round each team will have 4 games. As gender doubles and mixed teams cannot play at the same time, mixed teams will play after the gender doubles games are finished. All configurations are from the same 4 players on a team. Games will be rally scoring to 15 (maybe 11 depending on time logistics).
Payment for the tournament will be made on game day.
