2026 DPC Summer Tournament Important News
To all current and future registrants of the 2026 DPC Summer Tournament, scheduled for August 8th - National Pickleball Day:
The club is excited to host this tournament and welcome any players to our community. With that said, we felt it important to point out that we have some news that may not come as a surprise, but we wanted you each to have a chance to consider our situation and make the appropriate decision for your personal circumstances before you decided to register.
If you have been following the news, you know that our community has declared a state of emergency and was overwhelmed with flooding - along with many other communities in Manitoba and Saskatchewan. Although our tournament venues have been spared any damages, the situation has left Dauphin without a hospital and patients have been evacuated. The closest Emergency Room is approximately 30 minutes away, in Ste. Rose du Lac.
In Dauphin, there is a local Walk-In Clinic, which is still operational, and a temporary Assessment Clinic has been set up adjacent to the hospital. You are encouraged to follow the links below for more complete information on what health services are available in the community, and for options if health care is needed outside of Dauphin.

Knowing that health services are limited in Dauphin - and we are unsure if that will change by August 8th - we felt it best to give current registrants an opportunity to withdraw from the tournament before the registration deadline of August 1, 2026. If you decide to stay in or register for the tournament, we will interpret that your attendance means that you are accepting the situation as it stands today, and on August 8th, and you will be assuming any risk that comes with playing. We take your wellbeing very seriously and - while we hope to see you - we understand if you decide to withdraw or not to register.
Our executive would like to extend our sincere gratitude for the enthusiasm we have had for our tournament and we hope Dauphin, and all other communities that were devastated by our recent extreme weather, will be back to normal soon! It is disheartening that we have to post this news, but we felt it was prudent to do so.
