PEI Pickleball ÎPÉ Upcoming Tournament
PEI PICKLEBALL ÎPÉI is pleased to announce the upcoming Holly Jolly Tournament to be held on December 7 and 8 at Birchwood Intermediate School in Charlottetown. Registration is open on Pickleball Brackets. There is a limited number of spaces. We have applied to have the Tournament sanctioned. This Tournament will be open to all Pickleball Canada members. We anticipate applications from Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. If you do not have a CTPR ( Canadian Tournament Player Rating) you will have to open an account in https://pickleballbrackets.com... Island Athletes Shine at the 2024 Canadian National Pickleball Championships
Charlottetown, August 26, 2024 – Over 830 athletes from across Canada gathered at the Sobey’s Atlantic Tennis Center in Bedford, Nova Scotia, from August 20-25, 2024, to compete in the 2024 Canadian National Pickleball Championships. Among them were 30 proud participants from Prince Edward Island (PEI). What a week of amazing athleticism and sportsmanship in an outstanding facility featuring 40 courts, both indoor and outdoor. The level of play was exceptional and thrilling to watch. We had some Islanders winning three, four or even five medals. What a strong showing from our Island Pickleball players!
Congratulations to Nova Scotia and the organizing committee for planning and executing an excellent tournament. A heartfelt thank you to the referees who worked long hours to ensure every match was officiated, and to the volunteers who tirelessly kept everything running smoothly. This tournament truly showcased talent from all across Canada.
Congratulations to all the participants who played their hearts out and gave it their all. WAY TO GO PEI!
Pickleball is expanding rapidly, and we hope to see new courts established to accommodate this growth. It will be fantastic when PEI has the facilities to host a regional or tournament and welcome visitors to our beautiful island.
