Volunteer
Our club's success and the enjoyment of all participants is a direct result of the fantastic volunteers who step up to help in any way they can. We have a few specific roles that may interest you. Please reach out to us for more information. We'd love to have you join us in making this club and the sport of Pickleball thrive in Southeastern New Brunswick.
Ambassador Team
The Ambassador Team plays a vital role in fostering a welcoming, inclusive program culture. Ambassadors are experienced players who volunteer to represent the club by supporting players/guests during a corporate event or intro to Pickleball session (offering basic instruction and advice as needed).
- Ambassadors are nominated or self-nominated, and approved by the Executive Committee
- Ambassadors must demonstrate strong sportsmanship, communication skills and a commitment to inclusivity
- Ambassadors are held to a high standard of conduct
Session Coordinators
Each session is supervised by a designated Session Coordinator, who serves as the primary point of contact and authority during play. Coordinators are expected to:
- Manage court rotations fairly and consistently (For example, using an app to sort players by court and overseeing the timer)
- Ensure session start and end times are adhered to
- Maintain an inclusive and positive playing environment
- Address on-court disputes or concerns promptly and professionally
- Report any incidents, injuries, or policy violations to program management following the session
- Communicate concerns and queries to the Executive Committee
- Notify the Executive Committee of any Equipment or Safety issues, including all shared equipment, nets, balls, dividers
Social Committee
The Social Committee is the heart of the club, creating a supportive network where every member feels a sense of belonging, and where laughter and social connection are as important as the game itself.
The Mission of our Social Committee is to foster a vibrant, inclusive, and welcoming community by planning engaging social events, fostering camaraderie among members, and promoting a fun, friendly environment that extends beyond the pickleball court. Key Focus Areas: Planning member mixers, holiday events, charitable activities, and encouraging camaraderie between competitive and recreational players.
