HorseShoe Valley Pickleball Club Code of Conduct

Welcome to Horseshoe Valley Pickleball! We value a positive and respectful environment for all members. Please adhere to the following code of conduct:

  1. Sportsmanship

Treat all players with respect and fairness, both on and off the court.

Practice good sportsmanship by showing grace in both victory and defeat.

  1. Court Etiquette

Respect the play rotation and wait your turn.

Follow the rules for our courts.

  1. Attire and Equipment

Wear appropriate athletic attire and running or court shoes.

No sandals or other open toed shoes.

Use standard pickleball equipment to ensure fair play.

  1. Safety First

Prioritize safety by being aware of your surroundings and avoiding reckless plays.

Help keep the court area clear of obstacles to prevent accidents.

It is recommended to wear some kind of protective eyewear i.e. glasses, sunglasses, safety glasses etc..

  1. Inclusive Environment

Welcome players of all skill levels and backgrounds to foster a diverse and inclusive community.

Avoid any behavior or language that could be offensive or exclusionary.

  1. Respect Club Facilities

Keep the court area clean and tidy by disposing of trash properly.

Follow any facility rules or guidelines provided by the club.

  1. Communication

Communicate courteously with fellow members, addressing concerns privately and respectfully.

Use constructive feedback to help improve the club experience.

  1. Fair PlayAdhere to the rules of pickleball, demonstrating integrity and honesty during gameplay.

Accept the referee or the receiving team's line calls and decisions gracefully and without dispute.

  1. Learning and Growth

Encourage skill development and improvement among fellow members.

Offer assistance to newcomers and those seeking to enhance their skills.

Offer advice when asked, but respect that fellow players may not want your input.

  1. Compliance

Abide by all local laws and regulations while participating in club activities.

Follow any additional rules or regulations set by the club's organizers or the Township of Oro-Medonte.

  1. Ambassadors This is a multi-purpose shared playing surface. Please be a friendly ambassador of HVPB towards neighbours and fellow park users.

Failure to adhere to this code of conduct may result in disciplinary actions, including temporary or permanent suspension from club activities. Let's work together to create a welcoming and enjoyable pickleball experience for all members!
