- 2.50 - beginners
- 3.00 - recreational
- 3.25 - Competitive Recreational (CLICK here for an unofficial club rating/assessment sheet)

- 3.50 - competitive and rated by SAPC, PCO, USAPA or IPTPA
- 4.0+ - competitive and rated by SAPC, PCO, USAPA or IPTPA
To play at a 3.5 or higher level, you can have:
A DUPR rating with significant participation, significant tournament results or a club assessment.
IPTPA Rating (International Pickleball Teaching Professional Association's Certified Rating Specialist) to complete a player assessment based on static skills and actual game performance. This process is absolutely objective. Results are fed into an IPTPA Calculator for a Pass or Fail. (See the links below for more information)
