Please see the below message from your hard-working members who are trying to ensure the Rally House is fully functional as soon as possible:
We are excited to share that work on our new pickleball home will begin October 1st with completion targeted for the end of October. This project is only possible with the support of our amazing volunteers, and we are now gathering names and skillsets of those who can lend a hand.
We are starting a new list, so please reply even if you have offered to help in the past. This will ensure we have all the names we need in one place moving forward.
If you are able to help, please reply to tortifamily4@gmail.com (Project Manager: Tony Torti). When replying, kindly include:
- The area(s) where you can contribute (see list below)
- Your availability during October
- Any tools you can bring (e.g., roller poles for painting, scaffolding, etc.)
Volunteer Needs:
- Demolition – Vestibule demo and moving reception desk (desks, windows, and doors will be salvaged or sold).
- HVAC Ductwork – Assisting with moving ducting to the end of the room.
- Lighting Replacement – Helping convert lights to LED modules on dimmers.
- Painting – Painting walls a darker colour all around the room (8–10 ft high).
- Court Preparation – Prepping floors and installing court surfaces and nets.
- Scaffold / Work at Heights – Support for demolition, lighting, ductwork, and painting (experience with simple scaffold building is a plus).
- Cleaning & General Labour – Moving materials, sweeping, vacuuming, wiping surfaces, and tool prep.
Every hour of help makes a difference in getting our pickleball home ready for play. Thank you in advance for your support, and a big thank you to Tony Torti for leading the construction effort.
With gratitude,
Sarnia Lambton Pickleball Club Leadership Team
