Early Intermediate (2.5+) 2-Day Series

The First Five: Building Points With Purpose

This 2-day intermediate (2.5+) clinic focuses on the first five shots of the rally—where most points are won or lost. Players learn how strategy changes when serving versus receiving and how to build points with intent instead of reacting.

Through targeted drills and guided live play, participants will develop:

  • More effective serve and return targets
  • Smarter shot selection on 3rd and 5th shots (drive, drop, hybrid)
  • Improved control on 2nd (return of serve) and 4th shots (block, punch, reset)
  • A clear plan for transitioning from baseline to net

By the end of the clinic, players will understand not just how to execute the first five shots, but why they matter—and how to consistently gain the advantage early in the rally.

Beginner 2 Clinic Overview

Beginner Part 2: Building on the Basics
Ready to build on what you learned from previous experience?
This second beginner session is perfect for those who know the basic rules and have had a chance to play and are ready for more! We’ll review ground strokes, serving, returning serves, and court positioning. An introduction to key footwork skills will help you move more efficiently. You’ll also learn how to keep score if you haven't nailed that yet. With plenty of practice drills and game play, you’ll leave feeling more confident—ready to enjoy friendly rallies and casual games.

Advanced Novice Clinic

Building Skills – Advanced Novice Clinic

Have you mastered the basic shots of pickleball but are looking to take the next steps in developing your game?
This clinic focuses on transitioning from simply getting the ball in play to playing with greater control, strategy, and confidence.

Is This Clinic for You?

You can generally get your serve in, but want to learn how to develop a serve that puts pressure on your opponents.
You can consistently return serves, but want to improve your returns so you can reach the kitchen line efficiently while keeping your opponents’ back.
You can get to the kitchen line after you return, but want to improve your ability to deal with the 3rd shot.

Clinic Goals

Participants will learn to:

· Develop a more effective and purposeful serve.

· Improve return placement and movement to the kitchen line.

· Understand proper positioning and execution of the fourth shot from the returning team's perspective.

· Build consistency and confidence in kitchen-line rallies.
