2021 Pickleball Canada Atlantic Regional Championship
Sanctioned by Pickleball Canada
Hosted by South Shore Pickleball Club
Friday, October 22nd to Sunday, October 24th, 2021
The Atlantic Regional Championship will be skill (and age) based and be played at the Cougar Dome in Truro, NS. This is a Pickleball Canada sanctioned tournament that will use IFP rules.
ELIGIBILITY
- This is a closed tournament and only residents of New Brunswick, Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island are able to eligible to participate.
- All players, volunteers, and vendors will be required to show valid proof of full vaccination in order to attend the tournament. To keep all patrons on site as safe as possible, no exceptions to this policy will be allowed.
- This is a sanctioned tournament, so if you are currently not a member of Pickleball Canada, you must take out/renew your membership. This can be done by going to https://pickleballcanada.org and clicking not he join/renew button in the top right corner.
REGISTRATION
- Registration will open on August 21, 2021 at 9am, and closes September 28 at 9pm (Atlantic Standard Time).
- When registering, if you have a partner, choose 'I Have' and select him/her. If you do not have a partner but wish to play an event, select ‘I Need’ (which will allow other players to contact you about playing).
- When creating your player profile you should have checked to YES to 'Receive in game text messages' You will then receive phone notifications regarding court assignments. There will also be two computers in the lobby with an updating schedule to assist players in knowing when they play.
- Registration will be considered complete when both players are registered and payments have been made. If payment is not made within five days, your team will be moved to the waitlist and your position can not be guaranteed if divisions reach capacity. Teams that are waitlist because of divisions reaching capacity will be eligible for a refund as listed below.
FORMAT
- Current International Federation of Pickleball rules will apply.
- Players must be 18 years of age or older any time in 2021 in order to compete.
- Age brackets are 18-49, 50-59, 60-64, & 65+ (your age is how old you will be at the end year).
- Skill will be divided by ‘3.0 and below’ and ‘3.5 and above’.
- The tournament committee reserves the right to place players in their appropriate skill level.
- The tournament committee reserves the right to combine age (not skill) based on registration.
- Events will be round robin with a single elimination playoff.
- All players are guaranteed a minimum of 4 matches per event.
- Medals will be awarded to the top three teams in each bracket.
COST
- The registration fee is $30 plus $10 for each event entered.

Refund Policy
Players who withdraw prior to September 28, 2021, at 9pm AST will be reimbursed their registration minus a $10 administration fee. There will be no refunds after the aforementioned date under any circumstance with the exception of the tournament being cancelled. In such an event, players will be reimbursed minus the same $10 administration fee.
