Welcome to Pickleball Labs — where we think outside the box and discover new ways to elevate your game.

It’s time to look beyond the basics. This month, Pickleball Labs explores the overlooked, underrated and unconventional aspects of the game that can make the biggest difference on the court.

For November, the plan is to implement a tiered development system to address the repeats/new students and to help organize the lesson plan. Lesson plans will cater to the skill level of students.

Resets, third-shot drops and transition play have been covered from every angle. Now, we’re going deeper — breaking down the details, strategies, creative shots, situational awareness and lesser-explored skills that separate good players from great ones.
From choosing the right shot selection and counters to backhand rolls and high-level decision-making, we’re experimenting with the parts of pickleball that don’t always get the spotlight.
Question everything. Challenge conventional wisdom. Experiment with new ideas.

Duration: 4-session series
Time: 12:00pm-2:00pm

Dates: Saturdays — Nov 7, 14, 21 & 28

Spots Available: Max 14 participants + 2 coaches (3 courts)
Coaching: 2 MPC Certified Coaches
Skill Level: 3.0+ Recommended • All Previous Students Welcome

Fee:
$30 +hst per session for a total of $120 + hst

We’re excited to bring you an interactive, innovative pickleball experience that pushes boundaries and elevates your game.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Less predictable. More intentional. Smarter pickleball.

With 2 coaches and 3 courts, each session will cover:

Backhand Rolls — Develop a more aggressive backhand roll to attack dead balls, create angles and apply pressure at the kitchen.

Kitchen Counters — Sharpen your reaction speed, counter attacking and ability to turn defensive exchanges into offensive opportunities.

Pattern Recognition — Learn to read opponents, recognize tendencies, anticipate the next shot and identify opportunities before they happen.

Game-Based Drills — Put your skills to the test through realistic scenarios designed to improve decision-making, consistency, and execution under pressure.

Led by MPC Certified Coaches, this clinic emphasizes fun, encouragement, learning, and continuous improvement.

What to Bring:

• Comfortable athletic wear
• Indoor non-marking court shoes
• A paddle
• A water bottle

Attendance & Substitutions

There are no refunds for missed sessions. If you can't attend, you may propose a suitable replacement player (about level 3.0). Please notify us at info@markhampickleballclub.ca at least 24 hours before the session; all replacements must be approved. If you don't have someone, MPC may offer your spot to an eligible player on the waitlist. Payment is arranged directly between you and your substitute (for example, by Interac eTransfer). Can't get a spot? Join the waitlist and we'll offer you any open sessions.
