Halifax Pickleball Club Novice Skills & Drills -- Saturdays from 12:30 to 2 pm (4 sessions starting July 25th -- scheduled to finish August 15 but with rain dates possible on August 22 and 29). If this session is full check our programs page for other options or put yourself on the waiting list to be contacted for cancellations or when we run future lessons.
If you are ready to take the next step in developing your pickleball game, while meeting new players, then this is the program for you. Our Novice Skills & Drills is suited to new and learning players of all ages and is run in a small group to ensure hands on learning and easy tips to improve your game.
These clinics will focus on a range of skill areas including soft shots, resets, third shot and transition drops, and developing game strategy so you know when to use each shot effectively and how to play your best game. Keep active, advance your game, and challenge yourself in these fun and friendly skill development sessions.
All sessions will take place outside at Larry O'Connell park (6691 Fourth Street in Halifax, behind the ball diamond). Street parking is available on site. Players can bring their own paddle or use one provided by the coaches. Wear court shoes, bring plenty of water, and we recommend the use of eye protection (sun glasses may be needed), a hat with a brim, and sunscreen.
Participation is open to members, in good standing, of the Halifax Pickleball Club who are age 19 or older. New members can join while registering or add us as a club to their existing Pickleball NS account.
We have allowed for up to 2 rain dates -- if more than 2 sessions are rained out we will try to arrange alternate dates or provide a partial refund. In all other circumstances registration fees are non-refundable (should you need to cancel we can try to find someone to fill your spot, and then would provide a partial refund less our administration fees, but there is no guarantee of this).
