Dauphin Pickleball Club

Dauphin Pickleball Club

Established in 2021, the DPC was a small group of players who were interested in growing the sport of pickleball in Dauphin and the surrounding area.  The first Club President, Ron Johnson, is an avid player whose father taught the sport long before anyone had heard of it.  It was because of the passion and dedication of the initial executive members Ron, Jeffrey Malfait, Stephanie Waroway, and Bernice Boyechko, funds were raised, grants were awarded, equipment was purchased, and advertising began.  These 4 people, along with several club volunteers are responsible for the growth of the sport, in Dauphin.

Within a few years, the club has grown to see up to 30 people show up to play and new groups starting to play in several surrounding communities in Manitoba's Parkland Region.  The sport of pickleball brings us all together, as many of us travel up to 40 minutes to play in each others' communities.

We believe in open play but we also have a small, competitive, Advanced group of players; boasting a 2025 National Singles 3.0 Champion, Dominic Gamache (Congrats to him!). Several others in this group have played in - and won - tournaments across the province.

We welcome players of all skill levels, from Novice to Advanced.  Please check out "WHERE WE PLAY" to see our indoor and outdoor season venues and if registration is required.  We partner with Mountain View School Division and Norquay Properties for our indoor season and with Dauphin Recreation Services for our outdoor season.  We appreciate their assistance and support!

We hope you will come join us if you're in the area!  Please contact us if you have any questions.

Keep Calm and Pickle On!  See you on the courts!
