JUNE 2023: IMPORTANT UPDATE REGARDING THE WEATHER CANCELLATION POLICY
The SCPA board has updated the weather policy removing rain from the list of conditions that should be considered when canceling the event. During the first month of play it was noted that a few events were canceled when it was deemed from the weather network that rain would be present at the start time of the event. It turned out that although there were rainy conditions in the surrounding area(s) rain was not present at the courts.
REMINDERS
- VERY IMPORTANT: Please ensure the rink shack door (SCPA's assigned door facing the rink) is always locked when you leave an event. The only exception to this rule is if you have received confirmation from the captain of a following event that they will ensure it is locked before they leave.
- On the dates you are the assigned captain please DO NOT register as a participant. You are automatically guaranteed a spot. Captain names appear on the event registration form.
- If you coordinate a sub or swap dates behind the scenes please notify the outdoor.team@scpa.ca of any changes as we will need to update the captain name on the registration form accordingly, and also verify that they are logged on our captain roster confirming they have attended a captain orientation session and/or been trained by an SCPA assigned mentor buddy captain. It is also important that we keep track of all members who have been granted access to the storage box and washroom codes.
