LEARN 2 PLAY PICKLEBALL/CONTINUING LEARNER 2-session PROGRAM — TUESDAY EVENING SERIES
Are you new to pickleball and ready to jump in? This two‑session program is the perfect opportunity to learn the basics and meet fellow pickleball enthusiasts from the Markham community.
What You'll Learn
This beginner‑friendly clinic will cover the essentials, including:
- How to serve, rally, and dink
- Basic game rules and scoring
- Tips for improving control, consistency, and gameplay
Repeat Registrants are WELCOME!
We’d love to have you join us again—work on some skills, enjoy friendly games, and have fun in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere and supportive environment. Our two‑session Learn‑to‑Play program is a great chance to build confidence and practice the basics.
For the Continuing Learner, you will practice some core fundamentals of the game:
- Consistent serves and returns ((DEEP! And remember the 2-bounce Rule)
- Learning how to take control at the kitchen line (remember your ready position)
- Dinking and soft control at the net (remember, bending your knees, paddle in front, controlled wrist, lift)
- Basic volleys and paddle positioning
- Keeping the ball in play to build consistency and confidence
- Serve & Stay! Return & Run!
Join us for a fun and informative Pickleball Clinic, designed specifically for Markham residents.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
- Dates: Tuesday, Sept 8th & Tuesday, Sept 15th
- Time: 5:45 PM – 7:45 PM
- Fee: $20 per session + HST (Total: $40 + HST for the program)
- Location: Markham Civic Centre Parking Lot Pickleball Courts (look for the YELLOW fencing)
What to Bring
- Athletic shoes only (no open‑toe footwear)
- Water or sports drink
- Hat, sunglasses
- A paddle (recommended — loaner paddles and balls will be available)
Clinic Size
- Minimum: 6 participants
- Maximum: 12 participants

Refund Policy – Learn 2 Play Clinic
We understand that plans change and weather happens! Below is our refund policy for the Learn 2 Play Clinic:
❌ Cancellations by Participants
- No refunds will be issued if cancellation occurs within 48 hours of the scheduled clinic.
- If you're unable to attend, you may find a substitute to take your spot.
🌧️ Weather-Related Cancellations
- If the clinic is cancelled due to rain or wet conditions that make the courts unsafe, we will let you know via an email two hours before, so please keep an eye on your email. In that case, the session would be rescheduled to the following week.
- If rescheduling is not possible, a refund of the lesson fee will be processed.
Refund Details
- If a refund is issued, it will be for the lesson fee only.
- No administrative fees are charged by MPC.
- Please note: Credit card processing fees are managed externally and cannot be refunded by MPC.
