  • ************ Club Rating 2023 UPDATE April 7, 2023 **************

    Members,

We have now completed over 250 ratings assessments and Leveled Play (LP) is about to begin in the Coaldale Pickleball Club, Lethbridge Pickleball Club, and the Lethbridge Senior Citizen’s Organization. Thank you to all the members who moved through the process and have received their assessed level. Our next steps include the introduction of standards for the 3.75 level (August 01) and information regarding Club Assessments moving forward.

Our next set of formal mass ratings clinics will be held in September but until that time, we will do our best to accommodate small group rating requests. Players looking to be assessed are advised to review the Club/Org Ratings Policy that can be found on the website of all three clubs/organizations BEFORE choosing a level at which to be assessed.

To request a small group rating assessment, find a minimum of 4 people who want to be assessed at the same level and complete the Request for Club Assessment Form (https://forms.gle/Uqzyihtgj7seQae39). The Ratings Committee will attempt to recruit raters to meet your request.

In order to help members gather players, the Team Reach site for Ratings Clinics (Code: LCL2023) will remain open with ‘Events’ listed at each assessment level. If you are interested in being assessed at a particular level, please include your name in that ‘Event’ and once 4-5 players are in the ‘Event’, one member of the group should then complete the Google Form to Request a Club Assessment. Once a Club Assessment date is confirmed, all players will then pay the $20 fee at least one week prior to their assessment.

******** Please note that moving forward, all Club Assessments are pass/fail meaning that if you request an assessment at 3.5 and are not successful at 3.5, you will remain at your currently assessed level. ********

Again, thank you for your patience in this endeavour. The committee has been impressed with your dedication to the assessment process and the wonderful progress we are seeing in your pickleball play!

    Paddles up!

    Joint Ratings Committee

    Initial Message Regarding Club Rating

This year our club will be introducing Club Ratings for every player! These individual member ratings will be used to help organize scheduled play that promotes player improvement through high-quality, appropriately leveled sessions.

Starting in 2023, all members of Coaldale Pickleball Club (CPC), Lethbridge Pickleball Club (LPC), and the Lethbridge Senior Citizen’s Organization (LSCO) will require a Member Rating to participate in leveled play sessions. Limited sessions will be available for Open Play, Partner Play, and Practice that will not require a Member Rating. Once you have a Member Rating, it will carry over to all three clubs/organizations (if you are or become a member of each/all). For more details, please click on the PLAY AT CPC tab above then click on RATINGS.

    Paddles up!
