Lethbridge, Coaldale, and Area Ratings System 2026/27

IMPORTANT MEMBER UPDATE: Pickle Point Rating System The pickleball ratings system in Southern Alberta has transitioned from LCARS to the Pickle Point Rating System. The new ratings system is an evolution of the ratings process using video play analytics with coach oversite to determine a player's rating. The KEY DIFFERENCES from the previous process include: **one coach will be present for the session and sessions will be game play only. **all non-rated players will leave with a rating. If your play doesn’t support the level that you have registered for, you will be placed at the level that fits **cost to players will be less: - 3.0 and 3.25: 1 hour of play; cost of assessment $40 (Pickle Point members) / $45 (non-members) - 3.5 and above: 2 hours of play; cost of assessment $60 (Pickle Point members) / $65 (non-members) The current process for Verifiable rating using DUPR will continue as an alternate option. DUPR requirements: ** minimum 10 tournament games ** 60% reliability score All existing ratings will be honoured. There is no need to retest in the new system. If you do decide to test for a new level, and your play does not support that level, you will not drop below your present rating.
