New/Beginner Players

Prior to joining Parksville Oceanside Pickleball Society (POPS), if you are a new/beginner player with little or no knowledge of how to score, proper positioning, the no volley/kitchen zone, or the basic strategies of pickleball, please visit the Regional District of Nanaimo (RDN) website (www.rdn.bc.ca) for Beginner Lessons offered in the Oceanside area (normally available September to June). POPS does not offer beginner lessons.

  • Parksville Curling Club Indoor Pickleball Centre

    The OPC Pickleball Club would like to invite POPS to join us for free, indoor play at the Parksville Curling Club Indoor Pickleball Centre starting on Wednesday, April 17 until Tuesday, April 30 from 8:30 to 12:00 noon.

    No charge! Drop-In! Just have fun!

    Time: 8:30 am to 12:00 pm

    Dates:

    April 17 to April 19
    April 22 to April 26
    April 29 to April 30

    * Saturday, April 20th is reserved for the PADS fundraiser. Email opcpvilletournaments@gmail.com to register. Everyone is welcome.

    Pickleball players must be a member of Pickleball Canada for insurance purposes!


    No age restrictions and please wear your club name tag.

    Indoor play is available in the Howie Meeker arena at Oceanside Place Apr 15, 2024 to June 28, 2024. You can book a court online at rdn.bc.ca or call the Oceanside Place office at 250-248-3252.
