📝 Registration Details
Deadline to Register: May 14, 2025
Cost: $40 per person
Must be a Sussex Pickleball Club member.
Maximum: 8 teams total – first come, first served!
🏓 How to Sign Up
You can register:
-
✅ Individually (we’ll place you on a team)
-
✅ With a partner (we’ll pair your duo with another)
-
✅ As a full team of four (2 males + 2 females)
🆕 All full teams must choose and submit a creative team name upon registration.
(If you're signing up individually or with a partner, we'll assign you to a team — and help you name it if needed!)
Either way, we’ll ensure you're part of a balanced, competitive, and FUN team for the day!
💡 Team Rating Cap:
When creating a full team, the combined skill ratings of all four players (DUPR or self-rated) must not exceed 14.0. We will use DUPR ratings to determine this total.
📝 Note: We understand that everyone’s current DUPR rating may be somewhat skewed and not perfectly reflect true playing level. However, to keep things consistent and fair, DUPR ratings will be used for all tournaments whenever available.
If a player does not have a DUPR rating, a self-rating will be accepted instead.

🔢 Team Format & Rules
We’re using a Modified MLP (Major League Pickleball) format with traditional scoring only — only the serving team scores points.
👉 Format Overview:
-
Teams of 4 players (2 men + 2 women)
-
Each team match includes four games:
-
Women’s Doubles
-
Men’s Doubles
-
Mixed Doubles #1
-
Mixed Doubles #2
-
All games are played to 11 points, win by 2.
🔁 Tie-Breaker Rules
If a team match ends in a 2–2 split, the winner is determined by the total number of points scored across all four games.
🎯 Every point matters!
Example:
Team A wins: 11–6, 11–10
Team B wins: 11–3, 11–9
➡ Total Points: Team A = 35 | Team B = 37
🏆 Team B wins the match.
