2024 Outdoor Tournaments

At the 2024 Peace Country Pickleball Association AGM on May 5, 2025, the club announced 3 planned outdoor tournaments in 2024. The proposed dates are listed below. Format and additional details are being discussed and additional details will be posted as they become available.

***COMPLETED**** - June 8-9 1st Annual Corey Jonsson Memorial Tournament.

July 13-14, 2024 Peace Country Rally in the Peace Valley Pickleball Tournament - see attachments for details

August 10 Celebrate National Pickleball Day at Kin Park with the City of Fort St. John

September 21-22 Peace Country Fall Wind-Up Tournament

Dates: Saturday, July 13th and Sunday, July 14th, 2024

Time: Sign in available at 8am, Play begins at 9am on both Sat & Sun

Location: Taylor Courts (beside the Lone Wolf Golf Course Clubhouse in Taylor, BC) 

Cost: $25 for 1st Event, $15 for 2nd event, pay cash at the event.

Notes:

Novice/Intermediate - Self rating of < 3.5Advanced - Self rating of 3.5 or higher20 teams max for each event

You and your partner both must register. You need to find your own partner!

Format

Round Robin – 1 game to 15, win by 2 followed by seeded Main bracket with Consolation bracket. All teams advance to the main bracket.

Main Bracket – Best of 3 games to 11, win by 2.

Consolation Bracket – One game to 15, win by 2.

Service to be decided by coin toss, winner selects side or serve.

Switch ends at 8 in round robin and Consolation Bracket; switch ends in the Main Bracket after the 1st game and at 6 points in the 3rd game, if necessary.

Round Robin Win/Loss Tie breakers: 1st - Head-to-head; 2nd - Point deferential; 3rd - Head-to-head point deferential

Peace Country Pickleball reserves the option to adjust events and tournament format based on participant registration.
