VRPA is moving to the Play by Point app to handle program registration. The app is available from the Apple and Google app stores.
We’ve now published our Fall 2026 program offerings, so you can log in and take a look at what’s coming under the Programs section.
Registration will open Thursday, August 20 at 12:00 pm.
Why the change?
The Sign Up Genius account is no longer active. We are doing this for many reasons, including it will save us between $5000-10,000 this year. Another reason is that setting up the programs on the back end of the app (the part you can’t see but that we have to work with) is much easier to manage. That will also save money and time. A third reason is that Play by Point handles program changes and refunds more quickly and automatically. With our previous software, the VRPA had to pay for every registration and then again for any change (cancellation) to every registration.
Getting Started with Play by Point
If you already use Play by Point through Victoria Pickleball Centre (VPC) or The Nest, you do not need to create another account. Simply add Victoria Regional Pickleball Association as a favourite club. Once added, you’ll be able to switch between VPC and VRPA within your existing Play by Point account.
If you’re new to Play by Point, start by creating an account using this guide:
https://help.playbypoint.com/en/articles/11012510-how-to-create-a-playbypoint-account-player
Once your account is created, search for and add our club:
Victoria Regional Pickleball Association
Please note that the club is listed under the full name, not “VRPA.”
Here are Play by Point’s instructions for adding a club to your account:
https://help.playbypoint.com/en/articles/11100905-how-to-add-a-facility-to-your-account
Once you’ve added Victoria Regional Pickleball Association, you can head to the Programs section to see the Fall offerings before registration opens.
Stuck?
We recommend getting your Play by Point account set up ahead of August 20 so you’re ready when registration opens. Instructions are attached to this email and there is also a short video version: https://drive.google.com/file/...
If you have any troubles creating an account or finding our club on Play by Point, please email: programs@VRPA.net. We'll try to get back to you within 1 business day

Do we make a profit? A small profit which gets fed back into the Bursary Program, dollars for members who have received their NCCP certification, for subsidizing youth pickleball, for granting dollars to Municipalities for sound attenuation panels and for prizes at mini tournaments to name just a few areas where The Associations dollars go. In addition, we pay our instructors a decent hourly wage. VRPA operates through volunteer effort - endless volunteer hours put in by your Board and VRPA volunteers. VRPA is the reason that the free pickleball courts exist in Beacon Hill Park, that you have a Regional Pickleball Strategy and that there will be a decent amount of free play time in Topaz Park. You are encouraged to put your name forward for the Board so that you can examine closely how programs are priced – maybe you have a better idea on how we price programs – new ideas are welcome. Or, you could assist with the facilities management and help us get better pricing at our venues. Opportunities are endless for you to become part of the solution.
VRPA organizes high quality, affordable programs (both instructional and non-instructional) at various times throughout the year. Emails are sent out to all VRPA members with information about when and how to register. We offer lessons for beginner to advanced players and we also offer non-instructional programs such as partner-play programs, a King of the Court style program and coach-supervised play. We use SignupGenius for registrations. You don't need a SignupGenius account in advance as you can access the info by clicking the link we send once registration opens. Our programs are very popular and fill up fast. We are continually searching for more court space so we can add more programs and keep up with the high demand.
Please see link IPTPA Skill Rating Assessment to ensure you register for a program within your skill level.
