The Manitoulin Pickleball Club, will be hosting a number of Introduction to Pickleball Clinics, for those ADULTS (18+) that have never played the sport before. If you would like to be notified of future clinics dates and times, please feel free to register your interest. Thank you

Nets, balls and paddles (feel free to bring your own paddle) will be provided. Each clinic will be approximately 120 minutes. There is NO CHARGE for your participation. 

We ask you to:

  • Be the age of 18 +
  • Register  - Click on the     button 
  • Wear appropriate foot wear - typically this includes court shoes
  • Stay hydrated - bring a water bottle
  • Familiarize yourself with a few safety tips
  • Read and abide by the NEMI "Code of Conduct"
  • Take a few minutes and read the Basic Rules of Pickleball courtesy of Pickleball Canada
  • You might also like to understand how to keep score. Take a peak HERE

Sunday Cinic - What you will learn?

Overview - Beginner / Novice

Introduction to Pickleball


Objective: To introduce players to the basic rules and techniques of pickleball.
Scope:

  • Brief introduction to the sport of pickleball

  • Explanation of court layout and rules

  • Demonstration of basic shots (forehand, backhand, dinking)

  • Drills to practice basic shots

  • Short game to practice serving and returning

  • Safety first emphasis

  • Have fun ! ! ! 

We believe that this focus gives players the best opportunity to build a solid foundation on which to grow their game.

Manitoulin Pickleball Club (MPC) is a non-profit association of volunteer pickleball enthusiasts who are committed to supporting the growth of the sport along with participation and development of both recreational & tournament players throughout Manitoulin Island.
