Invermere Pickleball Club

Training

2024 Summer Season:

With the addition of our indoor facility, we are now able to offer training.  Holding our training indoor means we are NOT weather dependent and wind will not come into play and potentially confuse players.

Currently we offer two different types of training for our players, Introduction to Pickleball and Skills and Drills.

    - Introduction to Pickleball is intended for those that have never played or are really new to the sport.  The one to two hour lesson will introduce players to the basic rules, proper  stance, holding the paddle, footwork, basic serve, forehand, backhand and dink shot.  After this session the participant will have enough knowledge and skills to enjoy their time playing pickleball.  Introduction to Pickleball will be held on Monday evenings starting 6:30. Please come 15 minutes early because once started the door may be locked until the lesson is over.  Cost will be $10 (unless you have a monthly or season pass) and includes the facility fee and equipment rental if required.  Both club and non-club members welcome.

   - Skills and Drills is intended for players of various levels that are looking to improve a specific aspect of their game.  During a session, a particular skill (such as a dink) will be taught and then a specific drill will be performed to practice what was taught.  The particular skill for that night will be scheduled well in advance so that a player can arrange to come on the particular days to learn what they want.  Skills and Drills will be held Tuesday nights at 6:30PM.  Normal facility fees will be in effect but there is no additional cost.  Open to Invermere Pickleball members.
