Sussex Pickleball Club (SPC)
At Sussex Pickleball Club, we are committed to maintaining a vibrant, active community while deeply respecting the personal privacy of our members. This policy outlines how we handle photography, social media, and member privacy to ensure our club remains a welcoming space for everyone.
1. Official Club Photography
To promote the club and share our milestones, SPC occasionally captures photos and videos for official use (e.g., website, newsletters, and official social media channels).
- Formal Arrangements: Official media will only be captured through pre-arranged sessions.
- Advance Notice: Members will be notified in advance if a photographer is scheduled to be present for a "formal shoot" during club hours.
- Consent & Opt-Out: Your comfort is our priority. If you do not wish to be featured in official club media, please notify a club official. We are committed to strictly honoring all opt-out requests.
2. Peer-to-Peer Privacy Guidelines
While SPC cannot monitor individual smartphone usage on the courts, we expect all members to uphold a culture of mutual respect and courtesy.
- The "Ask First" Rule: Before posting a photo or video of another member to your personal social media accounts, please obtain their explicit consent.
- Mindful Sharing: Be aware that not everyone wants their competitive "game face" or athletic bloopers shared publicly. Please use discretion to ensure all members feel safe and respected while playing.
3. Data Transparency
We believe in complete transparency regarding member privacy. This policy is hosted on our membership page to ensure that every new and returning member understands our privacy commitments from the moment they join.
