Wednesday, July 22, starting at 4:30: The Bath Pickleball Club’s Summer Potluck & Barbecue, which will once again be held in the beautiful backyard of Janice and Ed Clapp, 4307 Bath Rd. Register by July 13 by clicking here.
Tuesday, July 28, 5:30 – 8:30: Ladies' Night at the courts. Ladies will have their own dedicated courts separate from regular club play, and all members from newbie to experienced are welcome. The majority of courts will be for Social play, but both Competitive and Gentle Play courts can be set up if needed. No registration required. Afterwards, organizers Niky and Nancy invite everyone to follow them to Welborne Commons on Main St. in Bath for drinks and laughs.
Thursday, August 27, 5:30 – 8:30: Ladies' Night at the courts. No registration required.
Saturday, August 29, 9:30 - 4:00: Our fun end-of-summer Club Tournament. We’ll have three divisions: Women’s and Men’s in the morning, and Mixed in the afternoon. Partners will be randomly assigned for each game in the Women’s and Men’s divisions, with players accruing points individually. The Mixed division will require you to bring your own partner and you’ll score as a team (if you don’t have a partner, see the note below). You can play in the morning, in the afternoon, or test your endurance by playing in both.
Registration will be limited to 16 players in each of the Women’s and Men’s divisions, and 32 players (16 teams) in the Mixed division. Cost is $10 per player, per division. Click here to register.
We’d like to begin games at 9:30, so arrive early to warm up. Mixed play should start at about 12:45. Everyone will play at least five games.
As a special treat, the club has arranged with Brynn’s Fresh Market in Bath to prepare sandwich lunch boxes delivered to the courts, with a choice of either turkey, havarti, lettuce and cranberry mayo, or roast beef, caramelized onions, cheddar cheese and mustard. Plus two cookies and some veggies and dip, all for $10 (see Additional Items on the registration page).
If you don’t want to play, organizer Judy would love for you to help out as multiple volunteers are needed for scoring, the snack table, etc. You can reach her at judyjanzen1@gmail.com. Also, if you want to play in the Mixed division but don’t have a partner, let Judy know and she’ll try to match you up with another single.
