Welcome to Season 6 of MPC (2026)
We’re glad you’re here — let’s make 2026 our best season yet.
Returning Members
Welcome back! The 2025 season was exceptional, and we’re looking forward to even more great play in 2026. Outdoor courts are expected to open (weather permitting) on the weekend of May 2–3.
New Members
Welcome to Markham Pickleball Club! We’re excited you’ve joined us. MPC is built on the principles of inclusivity, friendship, fun, and great pickleball.
The club is entirely volunteer‑run and thrives because members contribute their time to ensure a positive experience for everyone. If you’re interested in helping out — particularly as a Court Host or supporting our Unionville Festival — please email info@markhampickleballclub.ca.
About Your Membership
Your annual MPC membership, together with your Pickleball Canada and Pickleball Ontario memberships, provides insurance coverage for both you and the club, and supports the administrative costs required to operate MPC.
The membership year runs from January 1 to December 31, 2026.
While keeping costs as low as possible, we aim to deliver strong value through:
- Organized play seven days a week
- Ladder and inter‑club leagues
- Aces of the Court
- Skill development clinics
- Club and charity tournaments
- Social events throughout the season
And this is only the beginning. This is your club, and we welcome your ideas on how to continue making MPC not just the best place to play pickleball in the GTA, but in all of Canada.
✅ Getting Started at MPC (Quick Reference)
Before heading to the courts, please review these key reminders to help ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone:
- Members must wear their assigned shoe tag visibly during all MPC club hours
- Please check the Club Hours section on the MPC website before arriving (or download a copy here)
- The downloadable Club Hours image shows court hours, hosted times and court availability (subject to weather and seasonal changes)
- Court Hosts should be followed when present — they help welcome players and organize play
- When courts are busy, members rotate using the Next Up Rotation Board
- Gate access details are shared by email and must be kept confidential
More detailed information is available in the dedicated Members‑Only sections linked throughout this site.
✅ Shoe Tags – Important Reminder
Shoe tags help MPC volunteers manage fair and organized play during club hours.
- Each shoe tag is assigned to an individual member and the colour of the tag represents the membership tier
- Tags must be worn and visible at all times during club play
- Shoe tags remain the property of MPC and are non‑transferable
👉 Please review the full Shoe Tag Policy and Tips section for complete details, including usage guidance and replacement procedures.
✅ Playing During MPC Club Hours
During MPC club hours, play is coordinated to ensure fair access for all members:
- Court Hosts are present during most club hours to welcome players and assist with play organization
- The East Side whiteboard is used for recreational play
- The West Side whiteboard is used for competitive play
- Members should place personal belongings on the side that corresponds with the board they are using
- Guests are not permitted during MPC club hours
👉 Please review the Court Etiquette & Rotation Rules section for full details.
