MPC is in the process of refreshing how we present and organise our clinics to better reflect the programs currently being offered.

At present, we are offering Learn 2 Play clinics as part of a new Beginner Development Path, which includes:

  • Learn 2 Play series (e.g., 3‑week series)
  • Continuing Learner programs (3‑ and 4‑week series)
  • Game Ready (being introduced in May)

These programs are designed to support new players as they progress from learning the basics through to being ready for regular club play.

About MPC Clinics

MPC offers a variety of indoor and outdoor clinics throughout the year, including:

  • Learn 2 Play clinics
  • Play Better clinics (various levels)
  • Specialty skills clinics

Clinics may be scheduled indoors or outdoors, depending on the season.

    • Outdoor clinics (May to October):
      Cornell Community Park, 371 Cornell Centre Blvd, Markham, ON
    • Indoor clinics (September to June):
      • Rouge Park Public School, 568 Riverlands Ave, Markham, ON
      • Edward T. Crowle Public School, Markham (near 16th Ave and Markham Rd)

    MPC offers fantastic indoor and outdoor Learn 2 Play, Play Better Clinics (varying levels) and other specialty skills clinics throughout the year. Learn about the different clinics below. We are now posting our clinics on the main page of our website. Look for details under Latest News and in our interactive Calendar where you can click for more details and register!

    We may have clinics schedule indoor or outdoor. We generally schedule them at these locations during the periods specified:

    From May to October, outdoor clinics will be scheduled at the new MPC Outdoor courts located at Cornell Community Park, 371 Cornell Centre Blvd, Markham, ON.

    From September to June, indoor clinics are offered at Rouge Park Public School, 568 Riverlands Ave, Markham


    Learn 2 Play Clinics

    Designed for beginners, these 2-hour clinics introduce players to the fundamentals of pickleball. Participants will learn basic shots, rules, and strategies to confidently start playing. The goal is to remove any intimidation and ensure new players feel comfortable joining open play sessions.

    Level 1 – Play Better Pickleball Clinic

    For Advanced Beginners & Novice Players Ready to Grow

    Take your game from “getting the ball over” to playing with purpose. This clinic is designed for players who already know the basics and want to build consistency, improve shot quality, and start using smarter on‑court tactics. You’ll develop the confidence to rally, compete, and enjoy games with more experienced players.

    Important: This clinic is not for brand‑new players. New to the sport? Start with our Learn 2 Play Clinic or gain at least one full month of playing experience before joining Level 1.

    Level 2 – Play Better Pickleball Clinic

    For 3.0+ Players Looking to Sharpen Skills & Strategy

    If you’re already consistent and accurate with your shots, Level 2 will push your game to the next tier. This clinic focuses on refining technique, improving decision‑making, and elevating your overall competitive play.

    What You’ll Work On:

    • Dinking & Volleys at the Non‑Volley Zone
    • Drop Shots from multiple court positions
    • Serve & Return mechanics for better control
    • Drives vs. Drops – when to use each for maximum advantage

    By blending Intermediate skills with smarter tactics, you’ll walk away more confident, more capable, and having even more FUN every time you step on the court.

    Level 3 – Play Better Pickleball Clinic

    For players rated 3.0–3.5 (GPN rating) who are ready to push their game further. This program fine-tunes all aspects of play while incorporating more advanced strategy and tactics for a higher level of competition.

    Not sure if you're a 3.0–3.5 player? If you’re unsure, chances are this clinic may not be the right fit yet. Reach out to info@markhampickleballclub.ca to request for for an honest assessment of your skills.

    By mastering new techniques and strategic gameplay, participants will increase their win rate—and let’s be honest, winning makes everything more FUN!

    Refund Policy:

    No refunds if cancelled within 48 hours of the scheduled lesson.
    You have the option to find a person to take your spot.

    If a refund is eligible, please note, we can only refund the lesson fee and we do not charge any admin fee. Credit card processing fees are not charged by MPC and therefore not refundable.

    In the event of inclement weather (e.g., rain, storm or other) we will automatically process a refund.
